Here's something that you can do yourself in about 10 min with photoshop or the free version The Gimp.
They take a picture of your and make it look like an ipod advertisement for $20. Who the hell would want that anyway?

DrumPad.xls (alpha version) is apparently a drum machine written in visual basic and can run in Excel. It's basically an Excel spreadsheet that turns your keyboard into a drum machine. Who said that the office computer isn't any fun? I haven't tried it but I probably will.

This is actually from March 2005, but since she was also the Time Magazine, "Person of the Year", I thought I'd add this here too. The AP reporter got the story all wrong. Elana is in the background with Suzi and Isabella is in the front. Such is the state of journalism. This may have run in newspapers across the country but I don't know which picked it up. It did run on Yahoo News online.

Papagayo is open sourced Python and free, but meant to be used with Moho a $99 animation program. Looks a little better than Magpie and the Java version. Hopefully it has text export of the data so it can be used standalone.

Magpie is great but the basic version doesn't seem worth $60. JLipSync looks like a free Java version of the same thing.

Pandora takes and artist name and creates a "radio station" of similar artists so you can find other music that you like. Trying this out.

Magpie A tool that you can use to analyze speech and show you how cartoon character mouths should be drawn. Woo Hoo! This can be used with Blender through a Python script called Lipsync.

Tabit A fairly good music sequencer if you know how to play guitar. Would be better if it allowed you to record things in real time. I'm not sure you can but I haven't really played with it to much.
